RESUMO

O Principal objetivo dessa pesquisa é analisar o envolvimento dos EUA na Guerra do Vietnã, suas consequências e, sobre tudo, identificar a motivação estadunidense para a intervenção na Guerra em diversas perspectivas. Portanto, o que se deseja saber é o que culminou para essa intervenção, quais foram as razões alegadas pelos EUA para tal participação na Guerra. São duas as hipóteses deste trabalho, a primeira hipótese argumenta que a intervenção estadunidense no Vietnã ocorreu devido aos EUA não quererem a disseminação da ideologia comunista e que seu inimigo, a URSS, se fortalecesse, pois essas duas nações encontravam-se numa competição, a Guerra Fria. A segunda hipótese afirma que não se era possível um acordo político entre os EUA e o Vietnã do Norte, porque esse acordo provavelmente beneficiaria o Vietnã, em virtude disso, os EUA optaram pela intervenção militar, a qual era mais rápida e objetiva.

ABSTRACT

The main objective of this project is to analyze the involvement of US in Vietnam's war, the consequences of it and, above all, identify the american motivation to intervene in the war, within different perspectives. Therefore, what is desirable to know is the argument to this intervention, the reasons brought by US to justify the participation in the war. There are two suppositions in this project, the first argues that the american intervention in Vietnam occurred due to the US and It's fights against communism dissemination and the empowerment of the main enemy at the time, the USSR, both of the countries were in a competition,
