E-learning
E-learning is essentially the computer and network-enabled transfer of skills and knowledge. E-learning applications and processes include Web-based learning, computer-based learning, virtual classroom opportunities and digital collaboration. Content is delivered via the Internet, intranet/extranet, audio or video tape, satellite TV, and CD-ROM. It can be self-paced or instructor-led and includes media in the form of text, image, animation, streaming video and audio.
About e-learning we agree and disagree at the same time. We agree because a lot of people live in villages where is almost impossible to reach the school. Not everybody is able to have a car or using the bus so with the e-learning we lose less time with transports and we can even save some money.
We disagree because nowadays there’s a lot of sedentary, people almost don’t get out of home, and the e-learning contributes to increase the sedentary.
Other thing we don’t agree is that some students never show they are interested in this whole thing of school and with the e-learning it would be worse, since they didn’t even need to get out of home, they think they can miss the classes easily, and that is what happens.
We also think that the e-learning is not so good because we can’t have pratical classes and those classes are very important to the development we want to have in the area we are.
Of course a doctor that previously has had pratical classes is much better than a doctor that didn’t have those pratical
