Abstract
The civil construction industry hasn’t been able to keep up with the other economical sectors that already use new information and communication technologies – NICT – and through the internet compete globally, with more competitive advantages in costs, delivery time reduction and access to new products and process technologies. This article presents some practical recommendations about how to use the NICT to collect the right information, since knowledge is available in the right time and place. Using the data from the research Evaluation check-list for innovations on construction sites (1997), the analysis focus is all kinds of internal communications that exist in a construction site. The internet is rarely used by the enterprises, even tough it became an important technology on information selection and its application on internal communication is being widely studied. 1. INTRODUÇÃO
Os resultados das empresas que competem globalmente na Internet estão presentes por estas terem mais vantagens competitivas em custo, redução do tempo nas entregas, acesso a novos produtos e a novas tecnologias em processo. O sucesso destas organizações depende basicamente das decisões tomadas por seus gestores. E as decisões erradas são tomadas porque o conhecimento não estava disponível no tempo e no lugar certo para ser utilizado.
