Abstract: The watershed regarded as a natural landscape, has been showing increasing its natural condition of spatial definition of an ecosystem, within which it is possible the detailed study of the interactions among the attributes that involve the properties of the soil. This study aimed to analyze the variability of moisture and density of soil under different vegetation covers a watershed, located in the municipality of Alegre - ES. The depth was analyzed 15-20 cm, a Latosol Red-yellow. The physical tests were carried out in accordance with routine laboratory methods of soil science. Through physical, we can see that the moisture influence on the values of linear density of the soil. There are considerable differences of soil moisture, showing that the soil under eucalyptus plantation (Site 2) is almost always more moist the soil of
