UMA ABORDAGEM DO ENSINO DE PESQUISA OPERACIONAL
BASEADA NO USO DE RECURSOS COMPUTACIONAIS

ABSTRACT: The Operational Research (OR) is used in a large part of the administration courses, engineering and computer science, and its teaching becomes very including, being difficult for the teachers to reach all the items in her considered, in a satisfactory way. The main objective of this article is to evaluate some experiences to give support to the teaching of OR in the University of Santa Catarina's South - Unisul, based on the use of computation resources, such as spreadsheet, programming languages, specific packages and researches in the internet. Besides, to verify the improvements reached in the teaching, some will be commented some applications accomplished by the students. The main contributions of this article are tied up to the use adequate of these resources, tends these practices presented good results in the teaching for considering the motivation and the students' effective participation.

INTRODUÇÃO

A Pesquisa Operacional (PO) é considerada como uma ciência aplicada cujo objetivo é a melhoria da performance em organizações e trabalha através da formulação de modelos matemáticos a serem resolvidos com o auxílio de computadores. Um estudo típico de PO agrega em sua teoria quatro ciências fundamentais para o processo de análise e preparação de uma decisão: a economia, a matemática, a estatística e a informática.
A modelagem tem muito de arte e exige o desenvolvimento de uma capacidade de interação com o problema, com seus agentes, com a escassez de recursos e com seu meio ambiente. Os modelos,
