Why summarize a text? What is the purpose?
Well, the truth is that it was not good summary, the teacher insisted on not charging or advise it to be done!

Summarize is the act of reading, analyzing and mapping in a few lines what actually is essential and more important to the reader.

When we rewrite a text, internalize it and better not forget it. After all, we do not learn with a simple swipe of the letters eyes! Thus, we can even say that we read the text, but how to assimilate ... it will be difficult to say that yes!

The fact that synthesize text or long chapters can become a good habit and help you a lot in all disciplines, as will be aware of the main ideas and remember the key points of the content.

Exposing the text in a small number of lines does not seem to be easy? Do not worry, here are some steps to make a good resume and get along:

- Make a first reading of the text helpful in order to know the general subject of it;

- Then read the text paragraphs by underlining the key words to be the basis of the summary;

- Soon after, do the summary paragraphs, based on keywords already highlighted earlier;

- Reread your text as you type to see if the ideas are clear and sequential, ie, coherent and cohesive.
