RESUMO:

Este artigo de revisão bibliográfica discute a importância da inserção do serviço social na educação visando à garantia dos direitos sociais e o fortalecimento das famílias. Inicia rompendo com os disparates criados a respeito do serviço social e suas áreas de atuações, relatando o início deste dentro da política de educação, trás uma amostra reflexiva do aspecto histórico e a evolução da educação enquanto direito social. Apresenta o referencial teórico e metodológico utilizado pelos assistentes sociais, trata do paradigma das funções deste dentro da educação e reafirma a grande contribuição que o serviço social pode prestar em prol da solução dos problemas sociais que surgem todos os dias no âmbito escolar.

ABSTRACT: This literature review discusses the importance of integrating social work education in order to guarantee social rights and strengthening families. Starts breaking with the nonsense created about service and social areas of their performances, reporting earlier this within the education policy, behind a sample reflective of the historical aspect and the evolution of education as a social right. Presents the theoretical and methodological framework used by social workers, is the paradigm of the functions within this education and reaffirms the great contribution that social work can pay towards the solution of social problems that arise every day in the school.
