RESUMO

Embora o termo poluição hídrica seja um tema antigo, nunca se falou tanto nos últimos tempos, devido o volume de matéria-orgânica lançado nos corpos d’água sem tratamento chegando a alterar todo o ecossistema marinho. Como fator protecionista dos rios e demais corpos receptores, o governo cria leis de proteção ambiental, responsabilizando as empresas que lançam seus efluentes sem tratamento. Para reduzir os impactos ambientais oriundo das suas atividades produtivas, as indústrias optam em introduzir Planta de Tratamento de Águas Residuárias (PTAR), que de forma geral, busca a decomposição da matéria orgânica de forma similar como acontece no meio natural, descartando seus efluentes de acordo com as legislações aplicáveis ao seu ramo de atividade.

ABSTRACT

Although the term water pollution is an old theme, never talked much in recent times, because the volume of organic matter-released in water bodies without treatment reaching change throughout the marine ecosystem. How protective factor of rivers and other bodies receivers, the government creates laws on environmental protection, blaming the companies that throw their effluents without treatment. To reduce the environmental impacts come from their productive activities, the industries choose to introduce Water Treatment Plant, Residuárias (PTAR), which in general, search the decomposition of organic matter in a similar manner as in the wild, discarding their waste, according to the laws applicable to their field of activity.
