Species such as black pepper which are now consumed worldwide are originally native to the Indian subcontinent. The chili, which was introduced by the Portuguese, is also widely used in Indian cuisine. The traditional clothing varies depending on the colors and styles according to region and depends on various factors is the more traditional sari and dhoti. The music covers a wide tradition of regional styles.
