LEITURA: DIFERENÇA ENTRE INTERPRETAÇÃO E COMPREENSÃO DO TEXTO Mirian 1COELHO (G-UNEMAT) Suzimara 2 PEREIRA (G-UNEMAT) RESUMO Entendemos que a leitura é essencial para a aquisição do conhecimento e domínio da linguagem oral e escrita, transcendendo capacidade de identificar signos ou extrair informações. Segundo os PCNs (1998) a leitura é um processo, no qual se realiza a compreensão e interpretação do texto, e Solé (1998), afirma que este ocorre pela interação do leitor com o texto. A leitura tem como objetivo promover reflexões sobre a importância da compreensão e interpretação no processo de leitura. A diferença entre ambas, segundo Menegassi (1995) pode ser evidenciadas através das que são interligadas entre si, existindo separadamente. Para o desenvolvimento da leitura crítica, o leitor necessita compreender a existência de cada uma das etapas e sua estrutura. Saber interpretar um texto, identificar sua temática atribuindo julgamento crítico, ampliar seus conhecimentos, e reter as informações obtidas do texto, são resultantes do uso efetivo destas etapas no processo de leitura. Entretanto, a compreensão e interpretação possibilitam ao leitor fazer as inferências atribuindo-lhes sentido. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Leitura: Interpretação e Compreensão. READING: DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INTERPRETATION AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE TEXT ABSTRACT We understand that the reading is essential for the acquisition of the knowledge and domain of the verbal language and writing, exceeding capacity to identify signs or to extract information. According to PCNs (1998) the reading is a process, in which if it carries through the understanding and interpretation of the text, and Solé (1998), affirms that this occurs for the interaction of the reader with the text.
