Abstract: Understanding the spatial distribution of elements and phenomena that occur in space can be facilitated with the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) that benefit the study of geography in spatial organization. In many cases, is the topography of the terrain, especially the slope, the main conditioner capacity usage. Thus the choice of slope classes mainly in the intervals used in the letter of ability to use agricultural land, where the problem of mechanization (up to 15% no restrictions) is analyzed according to the steepness of slopes.
The aim of this work was to study the relief contained in the Forest Reserve Palhão, by producing thematic maps using data features with elevation and slope with the help of the Global Mapper software and ArcGIS. The final result showed that the study area has a large area with slopes of 0 º - 5 º degrees as possessing a great feature and low altitudes over the terrain.

Introdução
Em muitos casos, é a topografia do terreno, especialmente a declividade, o principal condicionador de sua capacidade de uso. Assim a escolha das classes de declividade principalmente nos intervalos utilizados na carta de capacidade de uso agrícola das terras, onde o problema de mecanização (até 15% não há restrições) é analisado em função da declividade de encostas.
Do ponto de vista Hidrológico, toda área agricultável ou não, está inserida numa bacia
Hidrográfica. Esta área definida topograficamente é drenada pelos cursos de água, de tal forma, que toda vazão e fluente sejam descarregadas por uma simples saída (ARNOLD, GE
1990).
