HABITAÇÃO SOCIAL: SOLUÇÃO E PROBLEMA

RESUMO
A partir do momento em que começou a ocorrer uma ocupação desregular somada ao não planejamento urbano, surgiram as habitações de interesse social para ofertar moradia às famílias de baixa renda. Entretanto estas moradias não foram eficazes para a solução do problema recém criado, já que junto a elas nasceram também periferias, favelas, cortiços e vilas o que de forma geral deixaram as cidades um tanto quanto menos apreciativas esteticamente. Seguindo a linha do pensamento estético tem se em contra partida o enfoque funcionalista e econômico tomado por estas residências, porém, é neste ponto que surge o questionamento de ser possível a aliança entre o funcional e o belo, o que diga-se de passagem é uma das funções da arquitetura. Fazendo um jogo rápido de palavras, este artigo vêm a somar conhecimentos sobre a importância da habitação de interesse social e de que maneira pode ser analisada, seus projeto e implantações, sob um olhar estético.
