Resumo: Os grafites e as pichações são escritas que refletem as tensões urbanas. Os motivos de produção revelam as dificuldades de seus autores em expor as suas ideologias, em serem (re)conhecidos em suas individualidades, em exigir melhores condições de vida, assim como voltar os olhos da urbe para refletir sobre esse contexto e contemplar a arte de rua. Os sentidos desses gêneros discursivos subvertem a ordem normatizadora e disciplinar do Estado. Analisar as dimensões históricas, sociais e simbólicas das referidas escritas nos espaços públicos de Recife, neste início de século, é a proposta deste trabalho. Abstract: The graffiti and the pichações are writing which reflect the urban tensions. The reasons of production reveal the difficulties of their authors to expose their ideologies, the difficulties of being acknowledged for their individualities, the difficulties to demand better conditions of life and the difficulties to make the urban population reflect about this context and contemplate the urban arts. The meanings of those discursive genres subvert the regulated and disciplined order of the State. The purpose of this work is analyzing the historical, social and symbolic dimensions of those referred writings at public spaces in Recife in this inception of the century.
