ABSTRACT
The objective of this article consists of examining the contributions of the Classic Theory of the administration to the modern logistic management. Ahead of this intention, a study of case of the company Pará Pigmentos S.A. in the expectation was developed to provide the analysis of the administrative elements considered by Fayol and its posterior confrontation with a organizational reality. Therefore, it was verified, from the comments in lócus and of the interviews carried through with the employees of the related company, the subsidy of the classic elements to the logistic one. From this, the involvement of the elements of the Fayol´s administration in the management could be evidenced and harmonization of the activities has stock, storage and transport. Finally, it fits to detach the importance of the technological innovation and management in the processes in the search of efficiency without, however, abdicating of its past foundations. 1. INTRODUÇÃO

Na segunda metade do século XIX, época do grande desenvolvimento industrial, surgiram discussões voltadas para a solução de problemas técnico-organizacionais pautadas em eficácia econômica e operacional, sobretudo nos estudos de Frederick Winslow Taylor e Henry Fayol.
Contudo, suas obras foram posteriormente expostas à crítica em virtude da forte sujeição as tradições e o contexto do período, balizados por ganhos de produtividade em detrimento das condições de trabalho e o tratamento humano.
