RESUMO

O objetivo deste artigo é refletir sobre uma sequência de ideias reflexivas e críticas a respeito da importância do Serviço Social nos dias de hoje,apresentar e discutir a experiência prática da intervenção profissional vivenciada na Assistência Social, a partir do temaFilantropia e Assistencialismoem uma análise da relação do Assistente Social e consultar as principais tendências para sua área no mercado de trabalhoBrasileiro e na contemporaneidade,compreendendo os desafios encontrados na profissão.
Entendendo as possíveis áreas de atuação, tanto nos setores privado e público quanto no terceiro setor e apontar os profissionais atuantes em cada estado ou região brasileira, identificando em quais áreas eles estão inseridos.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this article is to reflect on a series of reflective and critical ideas about the importance of Social Services today, to present and discuss the practical experience of professional intervention experienced in Social Work from the topic Philanthropy and welfare in an analysis the relationship of the social worker and see the major trends for your area in the Brazilian labor market and the contemporary, including the challenges faced in this profession.
