RESUMO
O presente trabalho tem por objetivo compreender e descrever as origens da Política Social, e também associar as demandas sociais às políticas sociais existentes, buscando compreender a atuação do Assistente Social perante essas demandas.
Pretendemos desenvolver no grupo o pensamento crítico sobre o Serviço Social na contemporaneidade e apresentar de forma clara seus resultados.
O presente desafio torna-se relevante por enfatizar a formação de profissionais, que nos trará aprendizados em nossa futura área de trabalho, ao retratar um espaço múltiplo e complexo permeado por relações entre diferentes indivíduos nas diferentes concepções de vivência.
A realização de todas as etapas servirá de base para compreensão da profissão e sua atuação no primeiro, segundo e terceiro setor, possibilitando uma visão ampla do profissional atuante.

ABSTRACT
This study aims to understand and describe the origins of social policy and social demands also associate existing social policies, seeking to understand the role of the social worker before these demands.
We intend to develop the group's critical thinking about social work in contemporary and clearly display their results.
This challenge becomes relevant for emphasizing the training of professional who will bring learnings in our future work area, to portray a multiple and complex relations permeated by different individuals in different conceptions of living space.
The completion of all steps will serve as a basis for understanding the profession and its performance in the first, second and third sector, providing a broad overview of the acting professional.
