RESUMO
A infecção por HPV está entre as principais doenças sexualmente transmissíveis, além disso, ele está frequentemente relacionado ao desenvolvimento do câncer cervical e verruga condilomatosa. Recentemente foram elaborados dois tipos de vacinas contra o HPV, a vacina profilática e a terapêutica e atualmente a quadrivalente. Os adolescentes e jovens, em função das modificações biológicas, tornam-se vulneráveis a infecção pelo HPV. Este estudo tem como objetivo identificar os fatores promotores do HPV entre os adolescentes e jovens, assim como descrever a atuação do enfermeiro na prevenção desta infecção. A metodologia utilizada foi através de revisão bibliográfica. Conclui-se com este estudo que as atuações do enfermeiro podem contribuir para a redução de possíveis agravos do HPV nesta faixa etária.

ROLE OF NURSES IN THE PREVENTION OF HPV INFECTION AMONG
ADOLESCENTS AND YOUNG PEOPLE
ABSTRACT
HPV infection is among the main sexually transmitted diseases, in addition, it is often related to the development of cervical cancer and condylomatous wart. Two types of HPV vaccines were recently developed, prophylactic and therapeutic ones and currently the quadrivalent one. Adolescents and young people, become vulnerable to HPV infection because of biological changes. This study aims to identify factors that promote HPV among adolescents and young people as well as to describe the role of nurses in preventing this infection. The methodology used was based on a bibliographic review. We conclude from this study that the actions of the nurse can contribute to the reduction of possible injuries caused by HPV in this age group.
