RESUMO

Este trabalho tem como objetivo verificar quais fatores que interferem na aquisição de comportamentos adaptativos e consequentemente na subjetividade e individualidade da pessoa com Síndrome de Down. A meta deste estudo consiste na análise e pesquisa bibliográfica, a fim de conceituar termos como autonomia, subjetividade, bem como a descrição de Deficiência Mental e Síndrome de Down, buscando estabelecer uma relação e analisar questões referentes à constituição da pessoa com tais “anomalias” como sujeitos. Para tanto, faz-se necessário então, também citar pesquisas recentes na área em que apontem essas pessoas como sujeitos, tendo oportunidade e direito à tomarem suas decisões e terem seus desejos e limites respeitados.

ABSTRACT

This work aims to check what factors that interfere in acquisition of adaptive behaviors and consequently in subjectivity and individuality of the person with Down syndrome. The goal of this study in consists analysis and literature search in order to conceptualize terms like autonomy, subjectivity, well as the description of Intellectual Disabilities and Down Syndrome, seeking to establish a relationship and analyze issues related the constitution of the person with such "anomalies" as subjects. For both, becomes necessary then also quote recent research in the area at that link these people as subject, have the opportunity and right to take their decisions and have their wishes limits and respected.
