ABSTRACT - TREES DIVERSITY OF THE SCHOOLS AT THE URBAN AREA OF
SÃO VICENTE DO SUL/RS. The work report an analysis about arborization in three schools of the urban area in São Vicente do Sul/RS, with the objective of identify and analyze the richness and the diversity of trees these institutions. They were analyses 91 organisms of 28 different species. In the School Coqueiros were sampled 16 individuals and eight species, in the School Borges do Canto, 21 individuals and six species and in the
School São Vicente, 54 individuals’ e 22 species, where diversity, richness and abundance were higher. The arborization of the education institution analyses present a number very decreased of the species, being that the characters concerning about arborization of the schools no present a coherent plain. The absence of the participation of the scholar community and of conscience of the importance of the urban arborization related frequently with the failure of the plantations in urban areas.

RESUMO - O trabalho reporta uma análise quanto à arborização em três instituições de ensino da área urbana em São Vicente do Sul/RS, a qual teve o objetivo de identificar e analisar a riqueza e a diversidade arbórea de tais instituições. Analisaram-se 91 organismos de 28 espécies arbóreas diferentes. Na Escola Coqueiros foram amostrados 16 indivíduos e oito espécies, na Escola Borges do Canto, 21 indivíduos e seis espécies
