a) One of the most impressive sights in Paris, this construction was built in the second half of the 19th century as an ornament, presumably to show the possibilities of steel, and to allow Parisians to see their own city from above. Now, is a major tourist attraction for visitors from all over the world and a site for TV and radio transmissions. It is linked in the world´s mind with the image of France and Paris.

R= Uma das Vistas mais impressionantes de París, a torre Eiffel que foi construída na segunda metade do século XIX, feita para que os parisienses pudecem ver sua própria cidade de acima. Agora, é uma grande atração turística para os visitantes de todo o mundo e um site para as transmissões de rádio e TV. Ela está ligada no mundo da mente com a imagem da França e Paris.

b) In computer science, a popular pointing input device, used mostly for playing computer games but used for other tasks as well.
