CONTEXTO SOCIAL E COGNITIVO NO SIGNIFICADO DA COMUNICAÇÃO: A LINGUAGEM COMO ESPELHO DO SER
(Social context and cognitive meaning of the communication: Language as a mirror of being)

RESUMO: Este artigo tem como objetivo identificar, nos estudos sociolinguísticos, uma abordagem do uso da línguagem como espelho. A primeira parte discute, nestes estudos, diferentes perspectivas sobre o contexto social e cognitivo, comunicação e significado, contrapondo, de um lado, a norma culta e, de outro lado, a análise das variações linguísticas derivada dos trabalhos de Marcos Bagno e representada pela obra de Paulo Mendes Campos. A segunda parte do artigo estabelece as lógicas ligadas dessas duas posições para a análise de confirmação, demonstrando que estas divergem quanto ao propósito das motivações e dos fenômenos relacionados à língua e a fala como fator determinante da identidade do ser.

ABSTRACT: This article aims to identify, in sociolinguistic studies, an approach to the use of language as a mirror. The first part discusses these studies, different perspectives on the social and cognitive development, communication and meaning, in contrast, on the one hand, the cultural norms and on the other hand, the analysis of linguistic variations derived from the work of Mark Bagno and represented by work of Paulo Mendes Campos. The second part of the article sets out the logic of these two positions related to the confirmation analysis, demonstrating that these differ as to the purpose of the motivations and phenomena related to language and speech as a factor determining the identity of being.
