RESUMO
A Arquitetura Brasileira passou por vários períodos, uns com destaque maior e outros com uma singela característica. A arquitetura eclética que ocorreu a partir da segunda metade do século XIX, teve como sua essência a junção dos estilos arquitetônicos que antecederam esse período, porém não é um estilo poluído com muitas ornamentações e característica, apesar do estilo dar essa brecha para o exagero, isso não ocorre. O estilo eclético poderia ser ditado como um estilo que não tem sua própria característica, mas pelo contrário sua característica é a simetria, busca de grandiosidade, rigorosa hierarquização dos espaços internos e riqueza decorativa.

ABSTRACT
The Brazilian architecture has undergone several periods, especially larger ones and others with a simple feature. The eclectic architecture that occurred from the second half of the nineteenth century, had as its core the combination of architectural styles that preceded this period, but is not polluted with lots of style and ornamentation characteristic, despite the style give this loophole to exaggeration, this does not occur. The eclectic style could be dictated as a style that does not have its own characteristic, but rather a feature is the symmetry search of grandeur, rigorous prioritization of internal spaces and decorative richness.
