Therefore, the years went passing and in March, 2010, I was working in a company where I had to speak English several times. It was hard to me because I didn’t know English very well. So, I thought “why not go to London, to study English there and to know the place of my dreams?” I bet it is a good idea.
Then, to make it happen, I planned a vacation with my boss for forty days in January, 2011. The next steps that I had to take were save money for the trip, book a flight, pay the English course, and ask my cousin to stay in their house during this period. These steps were easy to conclude until August, 2010, when I started to count the days until my vacation.
My parents were worried about what could happen to me, traveling alone in another country without speaking the native language very well being only 21 years old. I knew that, but I also knew that I could get it. Many times they tried to change my mind, thinking that I wouldn’t be strong enough to travel by myself, but I only thought that it would be amazing for me, to experience a different culture, different habits and rules. I was so excited that I have never wanted to give up.
January, 19th, 2011 I went to the airport with my dad; my mom didn't want to go because she was crying about missing me. Going to the gate at the airport I felt like I was in a dream; I thought “I am going to London, is this serious? I can’t believe it”. I slept during the entire trip to arrive there faster and before I knew it I was in London.
