O presente trabalho busca levantar as consequências ambientais que ocorrem em regiões de preservação permanente (APP), bem como relacionar os motivos da ocupação com os interesses públicos e privados. O estudo é embasado em normas jurídicas que protegem as áreas de preservação permanente e realizado a partir de suposições de possíveis impactos que podem ocorrer em áreas que são ocupadas de

maneira irregular ao redor de áreas hídricas localizadas em zonas urbanas, tanto no âmbito ambiental como social. O descaso e inoperância dos órgãos públicos estimulam e reforçam as ocupações irregulares que se alastram como pragas.

ABSTRACT
This paper seeks to raise the environmental consequences that occur in regions of permanent preservation (APP), as well as relate the reasons for the occupation with public and private interests. The study is grounded in legal rules that protect the permanent preservation areas and conducted from assumptions of possible impacts that may occur in areas that are occupied irregularly around water areas located in two

urban areas, both in environmental and social .
The negligence and inefficiency of public bodies stimulate and reinforce the irregular occupations that spread like a plague.
