RESUMO: O mal existente nas personagens shakespereanas Claudius, Iago, Lady Macbeth e
Edmund tem características intensas e profundas. A exploração do “dark side” do ser humano, nessas personagens, percorre o campo da mais pura imaginação do bardo. Para entender o mal existente no ser humano é necessário que se conheça muito bem as características desse ser humano. Nesse sentido é que William Shakespeare mergulha na elaboração minuciosa das personagens objetos da análise deste artigo. Procuraremos descrever o mal em cada personagem na sua individualidade e tentaremos traçar paralelos entre elas.

ABSTRACT: The evil that exists in the Shakespearean characters, Iago, Lady Macbeth and
Edmund has intense and deep characteristics. The exploration of the “dark side” of the human being in these characters runs through the field of the most pure imagination of the bard.
Understanding the evil that exists in the human being it is necessary that we know a lot the characteristics of that human being. Therein that William Shakespeare dives in the detailed composition of the characters analyzed in this article. We will search to describe the evil of each character in his individuality and will try to outline confrontations between them.

O estudo que estamos propondo aqui tentará analisar alguns aspectos do mal existente nas personagens Claudius, Iago, Lady Macbeth e Edmund. A delimitação da análise nessas personagens das quatro grandes tragédias shakespeareanas, Hamlet, Othello, Macbeth e King
